About Us

Refuge Center Shoals and Compassionate Hope Alabama exist to combat poverty issues and share hope in the Shoals. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Sheffield, Alabama. We currently assist people that may be dealing with food insecurity and need help with household items and basic necessities. We also provide several educational opportunities throughout the year for financial literacy, parenting classes, and job search skills.  We hope to expand our services in the future to include an after school program as well as rent and utility assistance.
